Teens To Be Charged As Adults For Sunday Afternoon Shooting In Baltimore County: Police

Three teens are behind bars in Baltimore County following a shooting that left a 16-year-old hospitalized over the weekend, authorities announced on Monday afternoon.

Alexis Chavarria-Valencia, 19, and two boys, 16 and 17, have been arrested and will be charged as adults following a non-fatal shooting that sent one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department were called at around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4 to the 6000 block of Marquette Road, where they found the teen victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body.

He was listed in stable condition on Monday.

According to police, the 16- and 17-year-old suspects are being charged as adults, along with Chavarria-Valencia, with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, and other weapon offenses. 

All three are being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
